This month, the entire team at Fitness Fundraisers is honoring Family Fitness for their outstanding participation in the Fitness Fundraisers program for almost a year and a half now.
In their monthly newsletter, Fitness Fundraisers pointed out that "aside from being a first class, full service family fitness center that never takes their eye off the membership ball, the club has a true desire to extend a helping hand to the community."
The organization also added that "they have outdone themselves this past year by raising over $20,000 through the Fitness Fundraisers program in direct support of a multitude of local community non profit groups raising money for great causes including; sports teams, cheer teams, boosters clubs, schools, schools clubs, Youth groups, churches, and more!"
As part of the honor, Family Fitness General Manager was given a chance to say a few things about the opportunity to raise funds for local organizations.
"Having been a part of Fitness Fundraiser for over a year now, I am extremely excited for what it has brought to our club and community. As with any new system, it took us a while to workout some bugs internally, but are now operating at full throttle with five Fundraisers in the month of May. One of the most encouraging aspects of the program is the pass holders themselves. Like with our regular prospects, each pass holder has a reason for actually walking through the door and it is our job to uncover what that is. The funny thing about the pass holders is that 90% of them have not been exercising regularly for quite some time or have never exercised. So by simply supporting a local non profit group through Fitness Fundraisers, people who are new to the fitness center experience are able to enter our club, and have the opportunity to begin a lifestyle change with no risk what so ever is huge for that prospect. The additional savings associated with a special conversion offer certainly sweetens the pot.
There are two ladies in particular that come to mind. I happened to be on the sales desk that day when they entered the club and did the usual meet and great, interview and tour. During the process each of them confessed that if it had not been for the Fundraiser Pass , they would never have walked through my door or any other for that matter. Both ladies would be considered obese and de-conditioned by any standard and agreed that they needed to make a change. I assured them we would help them down this road, but also helped them to understand their goals could not be reached in the three month period. They both agreed and long story short, converted to a full membership.
I am amazed at the dedication and persistency of these two great ladies! We started slow with cardio, light weight training, group classes and some basic nutritional adjustments. After three months of being in the club, both ladies have experienced weight loss, higher energy levels and improved self esteem. Yesterday, both of these women did back to back Boot Camp / Les Mills Body Pump classes; arguably, two of the toughest classes on our schedule. They are both completely entrenched in our group exercise program and our instructor singled out one of the ladies after Boot Camp because it was so obvious how hard she was working and awarded her a most improved medal. The class clapped and cheered bringing tears to the instructors eyes.
Fitness Fundraisers can create this opportunity for you too, but remember that without a well trained staff, from top to bottom, (and the great staff training program offered for FREE from Fitness Fundraisers), these two could have fallen through the cracks and been a hit on my attrition line. Remember, no matter how the prospect makes it into your club, sell results not memberships. Thanks Rick and Andrea, our Rep Tanya, and the whole Fitness Fundraisers Team!"
